Retail Business Analyst – POS & Cash Office Solutions

Responsibilities

    1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis
      • Conduct in-depth analysis of business needs by engaging with Cash office & Cashier team stakeholders.
      • Capture and document detailed requirements for new features, enhancements, and process improvements, ensuring alignment with Checkout objectives and sustainability focus.
      • Translate high-level business goals into clear, actionable user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
    2. Process Mapping and Optimization
      • Map and analyze current business processes, identifying inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for digital intervention.
      • Work with stakeholders to propose optimized workflows and document process improvements, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
      • Collaborate on creating end-to-end process documentation that aligns with standardized practices.
    3. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
      • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, Product Owners, and the development team to clarify requirements, gather feedback, and facilitate communication.
      • Organize and lead workshops, requirements sessions, and product demos to validate needs and gain stakeholder alignment on proposed solutions.
      • Regularly update stakeholders on progress, key findings, and requirement changes, ensuring transparency and accountability.
    4. Data-Driven Insights
      • Leverage data from Business Insights, customer feedback, and recovery operations to assess feature performance, user satisfaction, and operational impacts.
      • Use insights to refine requirements and propose data-driven improvements, ensuring solutions contribute to goals.
      • Support the Product Owner in defining KPIs and metrics that measure the impact of digital solutions.
    5. Agile Collaboration and Support
      • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, supporting the team in clarifying requirements and answering questions.
      • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the backlog, ensuring requirements are clear, feasible, and aligned with sprint goals.
      • Document and track changes to requirements, maintaining traceability and alignment with strategy.

 

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within retail, supply chain, or sustainability-oriented environments.
  • Strong understanding of requirements gathering, business process mapping, and data analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum practices, with experience supporting cross-functional development teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • It’s essential that the Business Analyst has Store Checkout knowledge and having operational experience is a great advantage.
  • Development background in D365 F&O and/or Commerce is an advantage.
  • Background in Point of Sale & Sales is an advantage.
