As a Data Platform Engineer, you will strengthen our Data Delivery function within the area of Data & Analytics. You have a key role in the success of data product deliveries. Working in one of our agile Data Delivery teams, you will develop new and maintain existing data integration into our Informatica based data platform. The Data Engineer will work closely with Scrum Master, Product Owner, Business Intelligence Architect, Data Analyst as well as business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop common Enterprise Data Warehouse platform (iData)based on Informatica PowerCenter and Oracle database.
- Design secure and reliable workflows for staging, cleansing and loading with high performance.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, processes and products as input to solution specifications of a development task.
- Populate ODS and data marts with quality data for use with BI solutions.
- Maintain existing solutions.
- Investigate and resolve reported defects.
- Support data quality routines.
Requirements
- Development experience using Informatica Power Center tool on Datawarehouses or Datamarts.
- Knowledge of Datawarehouse concepts.
- Experience designing data warehouse solutions.
- Experience writing complex SQLs and PL/SQL code.
- Experience working with different types of databases and file formats like csv, xml, json.
- Is analytical and has ability to understand data from business context.
- Competence in file/data handling scripts using shell or python is a plus.
- Experienced in implementing and capability to analyze and handle data quality issues.
- Experience in Banking domain is strongly desired.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
