We are looking for a Product Owner who is going to be responsible for the DMS (Document Management Systems). Product Owners have a key role in the success of product delivery in the Agile release train. They need to understand features, responsible for creating and understanding backlog items and be able to scope, descope and make priority decisions. They bridge the gap between business and technology to create efficient solutions. They are responsible for maximizing overall value delivered by the agile team and they work together with their agile team to deliver their committed objectives for each PI and to ensure a working solution.
Assignment Description
- Understand strategic initiatives, by closely working with Product Management, to help deliver products that helps the client in achieving the desired objectives.
- Help to drive product development to build end-to-end solutions with a team of dedicated engineers and designers.
- Serve as a Product owner within an agile team or teams.
- Responsible for creating and understanding user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Own, maintain and prioritize the team backlog.
- Understand and provide input to the Product Roadmap.
- Hold the Product Vision and articulate it and the Product Roadmap to the agile team.
- Use rapid cycles to iterate and learn.
- Build trust and effective relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Understand pain points and problems and address them in a timely fashion.
- Defines and owns the agile team’s Backlog (scope, priorities) in JIRA.
- Contributes to the program scope by collaborating with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, agile team’s and other Product Owners.
- Manages team scope by collaborating with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, agile team’s and other Product Owners.
- Define the sprint goals and drive the sprint backlog creation with the team.
- Co-define Definition of Done together with the agile team.
- Interact with 3rd parties with regards to technical integrations and support of the same.
- Prioritizes between bug fixes.
- Participates in agile ceremonies.
- Prepares for PI Planning from team perspective.
- Keeps track of progress for ongoing PI Planning, from scope perspective.
Required Skills
- Strong technical leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including facilitation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- PO/BA Experience.
- Banking domain experience.
- Experience as Product Owner or Product Manager within financial services industry.
- Experience and knowledge of agile frameworks, preferably SAFe.
