As a mechanical designer, you work alone or in a team together with other engineers and project managers. You are primarily responsible for creating drawings and developing customized products in various materials such as steel, copper and vacuum-formed plastic using advanced CAD tools. You perform strength calculations and FEM analysis, assess the results and optimize your construction. The work also includes the development of welded constructions and machined details, where surface smoothness and tight tolerances are critical factors. Furthermore, you participate in the development of prototypes and lead tests to verify that the products meet specifications and standards.
Requirements
- Completed engineering education in mechanical engineering or similar.
- Working experience in mechanical design or product development.
- Good knowledge of any CAD tool, e.g. Siemens NX, Solid Works or Creo and experience working with PLM systems.
- Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
- B driving license.
